Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Senior Manager, Supply Network Planning. This is a unique opportunity to lead the strategy and execution of network supply planning for our Laboratory Plastics Essentials (LPE) division.

This role leads the creation of optimized global supply plans for the medium-term horizon, developing scenarios, recommendations and decisions that resolve supply shortages and deliver business objectives and customer needs.

This position owns Sales, Inventory and Operations planning (SIOP) Supply network reviews, long term capacity planning and global inventory management. It also supports special projects and other supply chain and business critical initiatives. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Supply Chain LPE.

Functions and Responsibilities ( Scope )

  • Coordinate and develop global optimized supply plans (4-24 months horizon) that:

  • Ensure that customer requirements are met through monthly supply-demand balancing leadership (i.e., improved service, agility and therefore revenue).

  • Conduct rough-cut capacity planning across all value streams based on demand, utilization rates, efficiency assumptions and any strategic programs or initiatives. Understands and highlight network wide capacity constraints and works in conjunction with Operations on their resolution.

  • Analyze the supply network to enable end-to-end (E2E), trade-off decisions.

  • Align manufacturing, distribution & logistics and suppliers by developing a supply network plan that provides clarity and alignment across supply-related functions.

  • Support decision making by defining and analyzing multiple feasible scenarios of supply (including medium-term capacity constraints).

  • Assess/evaluate financial impacts associated with risks and opportunities.

  • Coordinates Global SC network scorecards and Root cause / countermeasures analysis.

  • Optimize inventory E2E and cost: reduce write-offs, etc.

  • Leads Global S&OE and SIOP network supply reviews, coordinating Pre and Executive SIOP meetings in partnership with business, finance, and cross functional end to end supply chain leadership team.

  • Conducts capacity planning for 3–5-year range, providing input into longer-term capacity investments and sourcing decisions.

  • Responsible for inventory optimization and inventory health strategy (E&O, MOQs, SS) for LPE, in collaboration with Hub & Supply Planning teams, supporting revenue growth, minimize risk of E&O for both finished goods and raw materials, while balancing inventory turns and product availability goals.

  • Supports relevant supply chain optimization and customer experience improvement projects.

  • Provide input and recommendations to improve supply chain strategies, policies and practices to achieve Best-in Class Supply Chain Performance.

Leadership

  • Lead Team of network planners, building their capabilities and supporting their professional development.

  • Collaborate and align on strategies, direction, recommendations, and decisions with global cross functional BU team:

  • Commercial (sales/marketing)

  • Demand planning

  • Customer service

  • Manufacturing operations

  • Sourcing/procurement

  • Product managers

  • Supply planners (FG, material requirements and production planning)

  • Executive leaders

  • Finance (cost/inventory)

Impact / Success Measures

  • Service: FG product availability and service (LIFR, On time in full & On time to promise]

  • Working capital: (actual stock vs. target or planned safety stock levels, overall inventory value, cycle stock, forward days' coverage, inventory turns)

  • SC optimization & Capacity utilization: rough cut capacity plan (RCCP), air freight cost, write-offs.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Management,

  • 7 Years of supply chain planning experience, ideally within Life Sciences industry.

  • 6 years of supervisory/leadership experience

  • Minimum 6 years of related ERP/Advanced planning systems experience (i.e. SAP/Kinaxis Rapid Response), including scenarios/what-if-analysis and relevant planning parameters.

  • Deep knowledge of supply planning processes, new products introduction and SIOP process.

  • Ability to translate data into high-level analysis to facilitate decision making.

  • Ability to work well in a matrix and cross-functional environment, establishing relationships across multiple functions.

  • Self-starter, works independently and react quickly to changing priorities.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $135,000.00–$160,000.00.
