Thermo Fisher Scientific Sr IT Project Manager in Waltham, Massachusetts
This role works closely with LSG IT Divisional Leaders, Project Managers, Project Sponsors, Finance and all other stakeholders to continually improve project execution and ensure IT and Business financial investments are prioritized and managed successfully.
This position will be responsible for identifying and developing solutions and processes to increase project management methodologies efficiencies, effectiveness and continuous improvements. The candidate will provide various analysis, discovery, and presentations to communicate PMO KPI's, trends, and performance metrics.
Education
Bachelors' Degree in Science/Technical discipline and/or equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree..
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Experience
Several years (3-5 years) project management and team leadership experience with proven track record in successfully leading projects from start to finish
Ability to manage multiple projects and interface effectively with team members and across multiple departments & regions/countries
Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
Relevant experience with Lean / Six Sigma experience in an industrial environment is beneficial.
Good understanding of resource management and capacity planning - previous experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
May be called upon for occasional overnight business travel to other Thermo Fisher Scientific operating sites - travel is estimated to be no more than 15%

Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including PMI Body of Knowledge, Waterfall and Agile
Process oriented and structured working style plus capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Well organized with the ability to work under pressure and deliver work to highest standard

Working knowledge of MS Office suite, project management tools, HP PPM, Jira, Power BI, Sharpcloud

Aptitude for organizing, managing and distributing data analytics
Ability to lead and drive change management
Continuous passion for process and delivery improvements
