Description We are seeking a meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team in the High Tech - Pharm/Biotech industry, based in Waltham, Massachusetts. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for general ledger management, month-end procedures, and both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general ledger activities

• Conduct month-end procedures and ensure accuracy of financial statements

• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

• Perform account reconciliation activities including balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations

• Prepare and post journal entries as needed

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Ensure timely month-end close procedures

• Work with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks

• Ensure all financial operations comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in NetSuite for accounting operations

• Familiarity with Oracle for database management

• Experience with SAP for business process management

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred

• Previous experience in the Pharm/Biotech industry is an asset.
