POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Field Service is responsible for frontline service leaders, service growth and delivery, key service account management, associate engagement, and development, and supporting Hach’s strategic priorities. This role will partner with Sales Leadership to select accounts for focused service growth, develop strategies to achieve desired impact, and deliver successful implementation of those strategies.

This position is a catalyst for organizational development while ensuring execution of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using continuous improvement tools to drive countermeasures and process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of frontline service managers who lead Field Service Technicians in the delivery of onsite service to Hach customers

  • Partner with the Director of Field Service in the development, implementation and management of team budgets, growth targets, and other tactical and strategic initiatives

  • Recruit, coach, monitor and appraise associate and frontline leader

  • Promote associate engagement through clear, transparent communication, linking performance to service strategy and company vision

  • Collect and report on competitive activity, business opportunities, trends and results within the assigned territory

  • Partner closely with Sale Leadership in the determination of key accounts for service growth, development of service sales strategies, and implementation of strategies to achieve desired financial and delivery targets

  • Manage and measure performance using KPI’s; institute countermeasures where appropriate to achieve goals

  • Review, negotiate, approve, and authorize terms and conditions for service partnership agreements with Hach customers

  • Partner with EHS to lead Safety, Compliance, and Fleet management initiatives.

  • Proactively support change management, problem resolution and continuous improvement, serving as a role model for innovation and transformation

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, resolving problems, and establishing service strategies.

  • Participate in monthly Service Business Reviews to analyze and report on ongoing formal problem-solving, review team performance, and align with Service Leadership

  • Travel as necessary including frequent overnight stays (approx. 30%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum 5 years relevant job experience required

  • MBA or equivalent a plus

  • 5+ years’ experience leading frontline managers

  • Knowledge and background in materials and inventory management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Salesforce and/or ServiceMax experience preferred

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to small and large audiences, including internal associates, external customers, and senior-level leadership

  • Driver’s License and acceptable driving record in compliance with Hach policy

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $160,000 - $175,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
