POSITION: SENIOR COMMERCIAL LOAN SERVICING SPECIALIST

As a Senior Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist, you will provide operational and servicing support to the Commercial Lending areas of the Bank, including Commercial Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial, Asset Based Lending, and Small Business. This includes review of existing information in core platform (Fiserv/DNA), boarding new loans and maintaining existing loans. Provides exceptional customer service to both internal colleagues and external customers.

Key Result Areas:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate boarding and maintenance of new C&I, CRE, Small Business and SBA loans in the Bank’s core system including modifications, increases, renewals, extensions, participations, SWAPs, letters of credit, bonds ensuring adherence to required loan terms and conditions and department SLAs.

  • Serve as a primary resource for the Commercial Loan Servicing team for guidance on specialized tasks, procedures, and training. Create and maintain procedures for the department.

  • Complete and review monthly HMDA and CRA reporting. Work closely with the Compliance Department and colleagues to address or clarify questions surrounding HMDA, CRA, and Flood Insurance.

  • Review and board new SWAP loan transactions. Act as a resource for Commercial Loan Operations team with questions surrounding remittance and payments.

  • Work with insurance vendor (Miniter) to monitor hazard, liability and flood insurances for all commercial loans, ensuring policies are renewed. Review and approve potential insurance force placement for cancelled policies

  • Track and monitor real estate tax escrow accounting for commercial loans, including updating third-party tracking system (Corelogic) and reviewing delinquent tax reports provided.Follow up with loan officers on any past due taxes and provide management level reporting summarizing these accounts.

  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts. Research and escalate any outstanding items in accordance with department procedures

  • Prepare and submit monthly 1502 reporting to the Small Business Administration.

  • Satisfy incoming service requests and perform file maintenance including, but not limited to, audit summaries, risk rating changes, officer code changes and address changes

  • Input daily and weekly indices into DNA for variable rate loan changes.

  • Create and review paid loan and collateral release documentation for closed commercial loans.

  • Prepare and distribute various daily, weekly and monthly portfolio and management level reports.

  • Communicate directly with customers orally and in writing in responding to customer needs and inquires. Resolve issues within authority level.

  • Resolve complex billing questions, i.e. tax escrow analysis, etc.

  • Assist branch personnel, Commercial Loan Administration, and Customer Contact Center with commercial Loan inquiries.

  • Monitor and work daily exception reports, including department and individual tickler reports.

  • Assist in the management of the Bank’s participation portfolio, including funding, tracking of payments received, sending remittances, and responding to questions of partner banks.

  • Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business management preferred.

  • Three to five years of banking experience, preferably in Commercial Loan Administration or Servicing.

  • Established understanding of lending compliance and regulation, including HMDA, CRA, and Flood Insurance.

  • Strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to meet critical deadlines with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, utilized to strengthen customer and business partner relationships.
