POSITION: RESIDENTIAL LOAN SERVICING MANAGER

Summary:

Responsible for the development, quality, and overall management of Loan Servicing for Residential and Consumer Lending. This includes residential real estate and consumer loan products serviced within the bank’s core system. Develop and implement effective departmental strategies that align with the business lines strategic objectives, including growth, efficiency improvements and project initiatives. Ensure department objectives are accomplished, and compliance with regulations is maintained. Maintain on-going, effective communication with senior management of all lending areas regarding operational and customer impacted issues.

Key Result Areas:

  • Oversee the management of the Residential and Consumer loan servicing areas of the Bank including investor reporting, loan boarding, funding, escrow processing, HMDA reporting and other general servicing functions; continuously analyzing systems and programs to provide opportunities and advancements in providing quality service. Ensure department adheres to all Service Level Agreements.

  • Set challenging, strategically aligned, and attainable goals for team members and department to maximize performance. Assess group against goals to identify areas of improvement.

  • Continuously assess and evaluate servicing processes, technologies and procedural requirements for the department; work closely with key partners such as Business Transformation and IT seeking ways to improve operating efficiency of the department and implement the same.

  • Supervise the training and cross training of department personnel to keep them informed of policy, procedure and regulatory changes effecting the department. Motivate, encourage, develop and foster a sense of collaboration in department staff

  • Oversee the preparation of numerous reports to internal departments and external regulatory agencies, specifically Board of Directors, HMDA, CRA, HUD, FDIC, Investors and Bank Commission, to ensure accuracy, integrity and timeliness of reports.

  • Responsible for audit result responses and implementations, including the coordination with appropriate departments regarding communication resulting from audit and or compliance regulation amendments.

  • Coordinate and recommend training accordingly for staff in partnership with the Compliance and Learning & Development as required. Maintain and update all FDICIA related controls, tests, and documentation, ensuring compliance of same. Ensure internal procedures are kept current and comply with bank policy, applicable state/federal laws and investor guidelines.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

    Qualifications:

  • Associate degree preferred, or 10+ years residential and/or consumer loan servicing.

  • 8+ years loan servicing experience in residential and/or consumer lending, preferred.

  • 3+ years management experience.

  • Excellent customer service qualities i.e. ability to diffuse escalated complaint situations with internal and external customers.

  • Experience in the following areas: secondary markets, investor reporting, tax service, flood service, escrow processing, mortgage and home equity loan administration and core loan systems.

  • Ability to adapt to flexible lending terms and requirements within the limitations of servicing systems.

  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to develop and implement goals and objectives.

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning lending activities and requirements.
