Human Resources Assistant
Summary:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Human Resources Assistant. The HR Assistant is involve with a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from onboarding new hires to supporting the maintenance of our applicant tracking system, maintaining employee records, ensuring I-9 and background check compliance, reviewing employee benefits to posting job advertisements. The HR Assistant also assists in creating Human Resources processes and documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required of the HR Assistant:
Act as the liaison between HR management and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
Assist in onboarding new hires, including coordinating and conducting weekly new hire orientations.
Compile and update HR information and employee records.
Manage the recruitment process, including coordinating candidate communication, posting/renewing positions on internal and external websites, completing background, reference and required licensure checks.
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to employee activities.
Process benefits enrollments, changes, and cancellations, as well as review monthly invoices from insurance providers.
Input information into the HRIS system.
Manage compliance, including ensuring all state and federal postings are in compliance, and accurately maintain all HR files.
Performs other duties as required.

Position Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum requirements: Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Behavior, or related fields. A combination of education and related human resources experience may substitute.
One (1) year of proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position.
Hands-on experience with an HRIS system.
Familiarity with ATS software, resume databases and posting to external job boards.
Basic knowledge of labor laws.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
Ensure confidentiality and a high level of customer service in all interactions.
Commitment to cultural humility, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Commitment to working in an integrity driven environment.
Salary range: Full time benefits-eligible position. Pay range of $24-$26.50/hour. Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or be eligible for exemption based on law.
