Thermo Fisher Scientific Financial Analyst III – Corporate Accounts in Waltham, Massachusetts

How will you make an impact?

The Financial Analyst III position provides analytical, reporting, and strategy support to the Corporate Accounts Team. You will gain exposure to upper management and strategy development. You are expected to become an integral member of the Corporate Accounts team and enable the commercial finance leads in supporting Pharma & Biotech segments. This position provides a unique opportunity for a motivated self-starter to demonstrate their ability to add significant value to the Corporate Accounts Team.

What will you do?

  • Establish and improve performance metrics to assist with business evaluation and decision-making. Ensure the accurate compilation, timely reporting, and analysis of data

  • Analyze and report on commercial programs, customer, and division activity (revenue, profitability, savings/value delivered) on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc basis

  • Support accounting, forecasting and alignment of Corporate Incentive process. Ensure commercial teams are leveraging the investment and drive critical improvements to incentives per ROI analysis. Increase visibility to incentive reporting to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Conduct customer centric reporting and analysis

  • Support revenue forecasting and implement process improvements

  • Actively participate in monthly and quarterly business reporting activities

  • Lead various Corporate Accounts finance projects

  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as required.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or other relevant area required

Experience

  • At least 3 years of direct experience in financial analysis and reporting preferably within a large, matrixed organization

  • Must have experience with Excel and PowerBI

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Demonstrated the ability to make logical assumptions, incorporate external and internal information, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines

  • Advanced analytical capabilities with proven financial modeling skills utilizing MS Excel, PowerPoint and Oracle

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge strong professional relationships with peers and senior management

  • You keep an eye toward continuous improvement with a successful track record of optimizing processes

  • Juggle multiple projects and execute them successfully

  • Self-motivated with a bias for action.

  • Commitment to continued learning, show career progression and seek opportunities to stretch capabilities.

  • Must possess high level of integrity and ethics

  • Teamwork-oriented with collaborative style

  • Knowledge of Tableau and COGNOS a plus
