Brandeis University Exam Accommodations Coordinator in Waltham, Massachusetts

Brandeis University seeks to hire an Exam Accommodations Coordinator who will play a vital role in facilitating equitable access to academic assessments for students with exam accommodations. This position requires close collaboration with the Program Administrator, Accessibility Specialists, and the Director of Student Accessibility Support (SAS). The Exam Accommodations Coordinator is responsible for managing exam accommodations logistics and exam laptop requests for students with documented disabilities and/or medical conditions, and ensuring a supportive testing environment. This role involves recruiting and supervising graduate student proctors, scheduling exams, and implementing proctoring support in close collaboration with faculty and students. This is a part time position, 17.5 hours per week. Job Description: Exam Coordination and Administration: Oversee the scheduling and administration of exams conducted through SAS. Gather and organize exam materials and instructions from faculty, ensuring all requirements are met. Coordinate exam schedules with students and proctors to ensure smooth operations. Manage the reservation of the testing spaces and oversee all logistical arrangements. Serve as the primary point of contact for all faculty, staff, and students regarding exam accommodations and services. Respond promptly to inquiries via phone and email, providing clear information on testing procedures and accommodations. Utilize Microsoft Excel and other software to track and manage exam schedules, accommodations, and proctor assignments. Maintain accurate records of student accommodations and exam administration processes. Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise graduate student proctors to ensure high-quality exam administration. Communicate regularly with proctors to discuss responsibilities, updates, and any challenges encountered. Technology Management: Along w SAS staff, oversee the inventory of exam laptops, ensuring they are maintained, updated, and available for student use. Facilitate the borrowing process for exam laptops and ensure that students have access to required tools Proctoring Duties: Directly proctor exams as needed, ensuring compliance with testing protocols and providing support to students during assessments. Professional Development: Staying informed of best practices for exam accommodations and assistive technologies through professional reading, networking, and attending relevant training/webinars. Requirements: Bachelors degree required. On-campus position during the academic year. Experience in administrative support. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Google Suite + Microsoft Excel. Strong aptitude for learning new technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
