How will you make an impact?

The Technical Associate supports Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) data, reporting, and insights function and communicating internally and externally. You will be a team member who is relied on to have a strong understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. Your decision making will help you prioritize workflows based on the available resources. You will create and follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity, and timing. You will support the team by sharing your previously acquired knowledge.

What will you do?

  • Support data and reporting needs for projects spanning multiple content areas (e.g., energy transition, circular economy, volunteerism, philanthropy, operational footprint).

  • Develop and perform analysis of empirical data with particular focus on environment inventories such as carbon emissions, water, and waste.

  • Analyze emission factors and design calculation methodology using web-systems and clients’ third-party environmental reporting activities.

  • Organize the development and tracking of metrics related to all ESG, including but not limited to climate, diversity, governance, and greenhouse gas related science-based targets.

  • Gather, supervise, and build reports on all corporate giving and various social and sustainability metrics to drive business decisions and health.

  • Partner with internal colleagues on the development and production of a wide range of reports, data visualizations, and dashboards to improve understanding and recommend areas for progress.

  • Support the development of long-term Climate strategy, including public commitments to relevant standards, data verification, development of science-based targets, and implementation plans and timelines

  • Work across a diverse group of partners, including Government Relations, Investor Relations, Legal, Finance, Hardware Engineering, Workplace, Human Resources, and Social Impact to support programs and priorities around additional material ESG issues.

  • Provide ESG support and environmental sustainability efforts with research of industry trends, frameworks, methodologies, and peer programs.

  • Assist the team with data collection, writing, review, and editing of external CSR reports or content.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or a combination of education and equivalent experience (5+ years or relevant experience) with a validated ability to analyze data, with proficiency in Excel data architectures, raw SQL queries, and some experience with or an eagerness to learn Looker, Tableau and other BI tools.

  • Proven curiosity about sustainability, social and environmental issues, philanthropy, and CSR programs.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and program management skills; ability to lead multiple projects at once while working in a collaborative cross-functional team.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills as well as an ability to synthesize data into meaningful presentations, proficient in PowerPoint.

  • Contribute to the development of client sustainability strategies including preparing executive level presentations and the analysis and benchmarking of performance.

  • Ability to collaborate and connect with a diverse range of people.
