Your Contribution to Our Mission:

The Configuration Management Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing of management activities to control and verify hardware and software configuration in accordance to program requirements. In this role you will manage and participate in the effort to establish and maintain product baselines throughout the products life cycle.

​Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

  • Develop Configuration Management processes to comply with internal and external customer requirements

  • Develop Configuration Management Plans to support projects and products

  • Manage change management system

  • Data Management support and planning to meet the program CDRL and SDRL requirements to customers & Prime Contractors

  • Conduct training of the change management and data management systems and tools

  • Review and approve documents to insure that they meet the company configuration requirements

  • Work within the PDM system to process documents for consumption

  • Use the Configuration Management Database to collect change management performance metrics

  • Have hands on ability to manage and provide maintenance to the groups Product Document Management software

  • Ability to lead a configuration management board

  • Support configuration audits for ISO, CMMI, and other external entities

  • Support activities for Physical Configuration Audits (PCA)

  • Working with Prime Contractor, Subcontractor and DoD configuration managers

  • Create, manage and sustain project Configuration Status Account Reports (CSAR)

  • Supports the CMMI Level III environment by participating in Systems Engineering Process Group (SEPG), writing and maintaining processes

To Land This Job, You Need:

  • BS/BA degree is preferred, or in place of a degree, 8+ years of CM experience will be considered

  • 8+ years of configuration management experience with a DoD customer base

  • 8+ years of experience of developing configuration work products and managing baselines

  • 5+ years of working with a Product Data Management database

  • Working knowledge of Mil Handbook MIL-HDBK-61A & ANSI EIA-649-B

  • Worked in a CMMI level 3 organization

  • Excellent People Skills – Must be capable of leading a team of technical personnel, capable of conflict resolution. Must be capable of managing a customer to assure the customer’s needs are met without incurring scope growth

  • Experience managing and maintaining a PDM database (i.e. Synergis Adept )

  • Working knowledgeCMMI process environment

  • Experience in Object Oriented Design and Requirements Development with real-time systems

Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain :

  • DOD Secret
