Job Description
The Electromechanical Production Engineering Co-op will support the Transducer Production Engineering team and transducer production with projects and day to day activities. The Co-op will support the improvement of the transducer test systems through activities such as new test development, test plan revisions, fixture development, new equipment qualifications, and test program modifications.
Job Duties
Lead a primary project assigned for the co-op term from start to completion
Assist Sr. Acoustics Engineer in evaluation, development, and implementation of new test systems and protocols
Assist production and production engineering team with other projects and tasks as needed
Review and Update Test Plans and Procedures
Analysis of manufacturing data using Excel, Power BI and other software tools
Create and update documentation for manufacturing standard of work
Conduct studies and propose improvements to the test process flow and spatial utilization based on Lean Manufacturing principles
Read and understand basic engineering drawings, schematics, block diagrams, and electrical component specifications
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently pursuing BS or MS degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics. Mechanical, Robotics, Computer Science or other Engineering discipline also considered.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Strong background in physics is a plus
Programming experience in LabView, C# is plus.
Experience with simple circuits and tuning components (capacitors, inductors) is a plus
Experience with oscilloscopes, multi-meters, pulser/receivers is a plus
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
