In this role you will lead and implement our TIAA Traditional Product Strategy for retention of customers and assets through improving the client experience and helping drive understanding of the value of the solution. As a Product Management leader you will be called upon to identify product and service needs, conduct competitive analysis, analyze trends, develop new products and/or enhance features of existing products, independently lead initiatives in a dynamic environment, and work closely with operations, technology, business partners, training and sales management in supporting successful outcomes for the business and participants. Ideal candidate has financial services industry knowledge, as well as product expertise in annuities along with an understanding of the role they play in generating lifetime income.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Contributes to the development andmanagement of the long-term product strategy
Manages execution of annual product planfocused on retention of customers and assets
Leads strategic initiative implementationefforts from conception through implementation
Responsible for ensuring product retentiongoals are met monitoring and analyzing financials, metrics and product trendsidentifying root causes
Leadscross-functional teams building partnerships that drive results
Definesour message and partners with marketing professionals to create, maintain anddeliver marketing campaigns and materials
Works closelywith sales & service managers formulating proactive strategies todrive engagement with field-facing teams through training, sales ideas,and other engagement efforts
Able to independently manage multiplepriorities, meet deadlines, and deliver business results.
Comfortable operating effectively in adynamic and changing environment (often with unstructured and/or virtualteams).
Bachelor’s degree required
10 or more years of experience inproduct/business management or otherwise related experience in financialservices industry
MBA or MSF strongly preferred
FINRA Series 6 and 63 must be obtainedwithin 120 days from date of hire; additional registrations and licenses may berequired in the future.
Strong sales/marketing or program managementorientation, with prior experience of socialization and execution of strategicgoals
Strong presentation development abilities,in particular complex PowerPoint presentation skills, are highly desired
Knowledge of key competitors’ offers and industrytrends is desired
Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills are desired
