Thermo Fisher Scientific Agile Portfolio Administrator in Waltham, Massachusetts

Position Summary:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Agile Portfolio Administrator for our Corporate Solutions and Integrations (CSI) group. The primary goal of the position is to support several Project, Program and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools and processes, with an emphasis on Agile, Scaled Agile and Kanban, as well as associated reporting, dashboards, and data management. This position will be responsible for identifying and developing solutions and processes to increase portfolio management efficiencies, effectiveness, and improvements within a multi-methodology organization. The candidate will provide analysis, insights, and presentations to communicate KPI's, trends, and performance metrics.


  • Develop standard IT program management and governance practices.

  • Identify opportunities for IT process standardization, document findings and recommendations

  • Be an active member of the Program Excellence team to successfully roll-out project management tools for Waterfall, Agile and SAFe methodologies.

  • Report on data accuracy and completeness for capabilities & features.

  • Establish meaningful KPIs and metrics to track this data over time. Update IT portfolio reports and analyze data.

  • Administrator of project portfolio tools including, but not limited to, Planview Enterprise PPM and LeanKit

  • Day to day support, including data entry, process adherence and governance activities

  • Develop and maintain training materials

  • Assist in tracking and updating project financials

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related technology strongly preferred.

  • Scaled Agile certification

  • Minimum of 6 years of IT experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT agile project management or a related role.

  • Proven experience of using Agile and Scaled Agile tools, including JIRA. System administration experience an advantage.

  • Experience with Planview Leankit and Enterprise One suite highly preferred

  • Experience of delivering outcomes within multiple/hybrid methodologies

  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques and Power BI

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
