This role may be remote, but the incumbent must be located on the US East Coast.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career . As a Senior Global Demand Planner you will be responsible for :

  • Accurately plan global end user demand requirements. This key objective drives the production supply response of reagents and consumables. This role directly impacts customer service and business cash flow related to forecast and replenishment accuracy/inaccuracy.

  • Forecasting responsibilities including monthly inventory projections at each distribution center and monthly excess and obsolete (scrap) projections at each distribution center.

  • Proper system setup of the demand forecasting application and SAP to establish a replenishment planning strategy from primary warehouse (ADC – American Distribution Center) to regional warehouse in Germany (EDC – European Distribution Center).

  • Formulating appropriate safety stock levels at each distribution center based on demonstrated demand variability.

  • Analyzing/adjusting demand forecasts to account for forecasting bias and development of stretch goals for increasing forecast accuracy.

  • Coordinate with Marketing on new launch anticipated demand and allocation strategy in times of constrained supply.

  • Monthly preparation of analysis supporting Sales and Operations Planning process. Supply Chain representative on the Product Health Team (PHT).

  • Develop relationships with Global Logistics Support Center contacts at ADC/EDC. Participate/Lead projects focusing on the continuous improvement and/or alignment of Planning processes both at a site or across the multi-site Planning function where challenged.

  • Generate and review low inventory items to avoid customer backorders and achieve Line Item Fill Rate (LIFR) goals.

  • Root cause corrective action analysis to address demand forecast accuracy gaps while driving continuous improvement process to drive performance to meet established targets

  • Forecast Accuracy

  • Distribution center inventory forecast

  • Excess and Obsolete Budget accuracy

  • Line item Fill Rate (end user)

  • At or below target for daily average count of customer backorders or allocations

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain processes with solid understanding of inventory management practices and processes; APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred

  • Strong and statistical knowledge with demonstrated string analytical skills

  • Understanding of manufacturing planning and control, MRP and materials flow in SAP or similar ERP environment

  • High proficiency with MS Office applications, with strengths in Excel, Power BI and Qlik reporting platforms

  • Strong communication, and presentation skills

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • BS / BA with a concentration in Business, Supply Chain/ Manufacturing or related degree required

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in demand planning/ forecasting

  • Understanding of ERPs (SAP) data structure, MRP process and data flows.

  • Willing to travel up to 5-10%
