About the Role
As a Program Manager within our Product Engineering department, you will orchestrate cross-functional initiatives while ensuring teams have the resources, guidance, and clear project plans needed to deliver high-quality software. You'll bridge technical and business stakeholders, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement across our product and engineering organization. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will report to either the head of engineering (CTO) or the head of product and engineering (CPTO).
You will be the first person in a new Program Management function and have the opportunity for management and mentorship of other program managers as the function grows in the coming years.
As part of creating this new function, you will largely focus on Veracross' FinTech portfolio initially, assisting several teams with their overall project management and communication with other stakeholders. This will establish the patterns that will be deployed across the department in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and optimize program management processes, methodologies, and best practices
Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily meetings, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation for multiple projects simultaneously
Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, driving mitigation strategies and resolution
Manage stakeholder expectations through effective, proactive communication and transparent reporting
Coordinate capacity planning across engineering teams to optimize resource allocation
Track and communicate program status, metrics, and milestones to leadership
Drive continuous process improvement initiatives alongside product and engineering management
Requirements
5+ years of program management experience within software engineering environments
Strong familiarity with agile methodologies and experience serving as a Scrum Master
Demonstrated ability to perform capacity planning and resource allocation
Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, etc.)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with program management in a fast-paced, high-growth software company
Experience producing reports and dashboards for executive teams
Industry certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or similar
Knowledge of software development practices
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
Track record of successful cross-team collaboration
Experience with accounting, fintech, treasury and/or embedded banking solutions

Salary at Veracross is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. The compensation range for this position is $140k to $160k (annualized USD) in addition to potential bonus.
