Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports. This role involves managing a range of accounting functions, including processing accounts receivable and payable, payroll, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures for accurate and timely financial statements and reports

• Enhance existing systems and procedures to streamline accounting processes

• Process Accounts Receivable and Payable

• Handle payroll processing

• Maintain the General Ledger

• Ensure timely reporting of all monthly financial information

• Ensure an accurate and timely month and year-end close

• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies

• Research and reconcile financial discrepancies

• Perform other accounting and financial-related duties as directed by management

• Maintain and use accounting software systems effectively, including ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and Great Plains (GPAC)

• Perform auditing and billing functions

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) effectively

• Support budget, product costing, and forecasting activities.

Please note that this role requires expertise in various accounting functions and software systems. The ability to work in a detail-oriented and organized manner is crucial for this role. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the accounting field.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions is mandatory.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.

• Knowledge and experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is highly desirable.

• Must have a comprehensive understanding of all key accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in auditing practices is necessary.

• Familiarity with billing functions is essential.

• Must have excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or CPA is preferred.

• Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
