TURNERS FALLS Opertations Supervisor Franklin Transit Management (FTM) is currently seeking a full-time Operations Supervisor. The schedule for this position will be 40 hours a week, 5 days per week, and must be willing to work on weekends. Position Summary The Operations Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the repair and maintenance of building and equipment with the key focus on preventative maintenance for Franklin Regional Transit Authority\'s Maintenance Facility. The job duties of the Operations Supervisor are varied and require a self-motivated candidate who can work effectively with minimal supervision. This person will be willing to learn building maintenance and IT for the building and the grounds. This position will report to the General Manager. Position Requirements: Applicants must: Monitor and evaluate operational performance of the Maintenance Facility Consciousness of safety procedures and the essentials of electrical equipment Inspecting buildings regularly to identify and fix faults in structure system Performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks Responding to structural damages and refurbishing worn-out fittings Responding to faults in electrical systems and replacing faulty electrical switches and outlets Repairing and replacing broken parts in HVAC systems and filters Plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains and fixing leaks Maintaining outdoor areas such as parking lots and sidewalks, including snow removal when necessary Ensuring all safety standards and building codes are met Conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards Responding to emergency calls for maintenance Maintaining inventory of repair equipment and supplies Documenting inspection and repair activities for future reference and upload into RTA Have excellent trouble shooting skills and be able to excel in daily duties Trouble shoot camera system and IT throughout building Working relationship with the Maintenance Manager and the General Manager Have the ability to assist the operation as needed, driving, dispatch etc. Medical Requirements The Operations Supervisor must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) medical qualifications and are required to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card as a condition of future and continued employment. All job offers are made contingent upon meeting the DOT medical requirements of the job. This medical exam, provided by a physician registered with the USDOT (U.S. Department of Transportation) is of no cost to the applicant. Applicants with a current and valid Medical Card will also be required to complete this exam.
