Machine Operator

Job Description

We are currently looking to bring on additional machine operators into our facility. This position will provide extensive training, regular check-ins with your production manager to review manufacturing checklists, and exposure to the engineering team to ensure your success.

Responsibilities

• Work off of work orders, learning processes of each individual customer, and ensuring KPIs are met.

• Use micrometers and calipers to ensure the product meets quality needs.

• Perform minor preventive maintenance work on machinery, including oiling of machines.

• Utilize a computer to track raw material usage.

• Inspect pieces for defective materials and any unusual conditions.

Essential Skills

• Frequent mobility and comfortability picking up to 50lb.

• Knowledge of mathematics, including using decimals, fractions, and measuring.

• Comfortable with operating multiple machines at one time.

• Experience in manufacturing or a mechanically inclined position is preferred.

• Comfortable using a computer.

• Machine operation, inspection, troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Candidates must not have a jumpy work history.

• Candidates must have an open-minded approach to learning new skills.

• Candidates must be open to being trained on our machinery.

Work Environment

The work environment is very well-lit with newer machinery. There are seven departments spread throughout the company, each dealing with separate processes of production. We have a diverse culture, though some areas of the facility can be louder.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Turners Falls, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.58 - $21.58/hr.
