Town of Sunderland Town Administrator in Sunderland, Massachusetts
Town Administrator The Town of Sunderland (pop. 3,659) seeks an experienced, thoughtful, and skilled leader with strong communication and collaboration skills to serve as its next Town Administrator. A classic New England small town, Sunderland has a rich agricultural history and hometown feel and is located near UMASS Amherst and the Five-College area in the beautiful Pioneer Valley. The Administrator is the Town\'s CAO and oversees an \$11 million municipal operating budget. The Town Administrator supports and advises the Selectboard and manages day-to-day municipal operations under its purview. Candidates should have strong competence in municipal finance and budgeting, project management, human resource administration, Massachusetts municipal law, intergovernmental and community relations. Requires an MPA and 5 years of municipal management and leadership experience or similar in a government agency, or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
