Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Professional Services industry located in Sudbury, Massachusetts. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities including processing payroll, preparing data for audits, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and participating in higher-level accounting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare bi-weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, departmental assignments, and tip calculations.

• Process homeowner statements and inter-company accounting tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Prepare data for audit requests such as 401K and workman’s compensation.

• Assist with year-end payroll projects like W-2 and 1095 preparation.

• Conduct general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Participate in higher-level ad-hoc accounting projects to optimize the accounting function.

• Verify timesheet accuracy and generate associated reports for management.

• Utilize various software systems for accounting tasks, including Sage Intacct, Resort Data Processing, Positouch, YellowDog, and ADP Workforce Now.

• Prepare annual reports to provide an overview of the company's financial status.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential

• Expertise in balance sheet reconciliation is required

• Experience in bank reconciliations is necessary

• Proficiency in general ledger management is a must

• Skilled in preparing and managing journal entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in month end close procedures is needed

• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is desirable

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
