The Kripalu Shop and Caf? is seeking a motivated Shop Lead to inspire and guide our sales team in delivering exceptional customer experiences. POSITION SUMMARY: The Kripalu Shop Lead leads the daily activities of the sales team in the Kripalu Shop and Caf?. This position works with the Shop Manager to manage and develop the sales team in order to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role helps to operate the Kripalu Shop and Caf? efficiently and effectively. This role trains the sales team in customer service, POS system, Shop policies and procedures, and product knowledge. ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Guides the sales team in the execution of a proactive customer-focused service environment. - Mentors, develops and supervises the sales team; implementing training programs as needed. - Assists shop Manager with scheduling and other aspects of payroll. - Ensures optimal coverage on the sales floor to achieve excellent service while meeting budget and business priorities. Covers shifts as necessary. - Executes the merchandising plan for the Shop; coordinate with the stockroom on the daily restocking of the shop. - Ensures all sales transactions are in alignment with departmental and organizational cash control policies. - Ensures all processes, guidelines and procedures are followed regarding Safety and Loss Control. - Assists in the recruitment and onboarding of all new team members. - Partners with Shop Manager to provide performance input and coaching for all of the sales team. - Works with team to ensure standards of cleanliness and appearance in the Shop and Caf? areas are met or exceeded. - Attends to other responsibilities as directed by management. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Associates Degree or equivalent - 1 to 3 years supervisory experience. - 1 to 3 years\' experience in a customer facing role preferred. - Excellent time management skills. - Demonstrated strength in customer service - Ability to work in a high paced multitasking environment. - Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Knowledge of Kripalu Programs and offerings a plus.
