Norman Rockwell Museum is a drug-free workplace. The Position The museum caf? coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day caf? operations, alongside the museum store manager. Core Duties and Responsibilities: - Ensure a welcoming environment that delivers on our commitment to presentation and cleanliness - Manage caf? inventory levels - Handle all ordering for beverage, dry goods, food, and all other caf? products - Work with visitor service office to organize & coordinate box lunch requests from Tour Groups, including packaging & labeling pre-ordered food items - Maintain sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations - Work as a member of the front-end team by working one of the delegated stations - Supervise cash flow including drawer reconciliation, CC processing, and bank runs - Work with finance manager to correct monetary or inventory discrepancies Qualifications: ServSafe, TIPS Certified. Personable, with excellent communication and organization skills. Able to work confidently in busy environment and ability to courteously and efficiently manage a line. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods. Lift, push, pull up to 25 lbs. Accommodations available. Experience: Three years of high volume restaurant, caf?, or barista experience, with managing inventory background. Rate of Pay: \$18 to \$20 per hour, commensurate with experience. . General Hours: The Museum is open 6 days a week to the public, closed Wednesdays. The position is seasonal through October with flexible schedule, approximately 30 to 40 hours per week. Organizational Culture: We are a high production, national art museum and value kindness, respect agility and innovation. The dress code is artful business casual, occasional event and business attire, in a setting surrounded by beautiful gardens, art and architecture.
