Job Title: Packer

Job Description

As a packer, you will work at the end of each production line and be the last person to handle the product before it is shipped to the customer. Your primary responsibilities include taking the product off the end of the line, performing visual quality inspections, measuring specific products for length, width, and dexterity, entering simple data into the computer system, and packing boxes with products to be shipped.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative during slow periods

• Ability to read and write English

• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production, general labor, packing, and packaging

• Must have held a full-time job and demonstrated the ability to maintain a set schedule

Work Environment

The work schedule is 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am on a two on, two off, three on, three off rotation. We have openings for both day and night shifts. The production environment includes 20 production lines, each with a packer at the end. The shop is not temperature-controlled, so it can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. We pride ourselves on having a diverse workforce.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.20 - $17.85/hr.
