Description

We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our team in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in meeting with clients to understand their financial situations and tax obligations, preparing and filing tax returns, and maintaining detailed financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their financial situations and tax obligations

• Preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns for both individuals and businesses

• Conducting reviews of financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Organizing and maintaining detailed records of financial transactions, receipts, and other relevant documentation

• Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations

• Utilizing accounting software systems to streamline tax-related tasks

• Leveraging skills in customer service to resolve client inquiries and issues

• Applying knowledge of bookkeeping functions to keep accurate financial records

• Using ADP - Financial Services and CaseWare for efficient accounting functions

• Employing knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax for tax-related tasks

• Conducting auditing tasks as necessary to ensure compliant and accurate financial reporting.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CaseWare

• Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Knowledge of Bookkeeping Functions

• Ability to ensure Compliance in all accounting practices

• Excellent Customer Service skills
