Speech & Lang Pathologist Job Category: Professional Requisition Number: SPEEC004919 Full-Time Early Intervention Springfield, MA 01107, USA Job Details Description The Center for Human Development currently has a need for a Speech and Language Pathologist in our Early Intervention Program. The Speech and Language Pathologist will be responsible for conducting assessments with other members of the Early Intervention team in the greater Springfield area at the client\'s homes. You will be providing treatment plans/strategies and direct treatment for children with speech and language delays. The Speech and Language Pathologist will be a part of a dedicated, supportive and exceptional team. You will also have the chance to work with a family centered model. CHD understands how important continuing professional growth is critical to offering our clients the most innovative and effective treatment so we offer internal and external training opportunities; as well as CEU offerings. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Participate in arena trans-disciplinary eligibility evaluations of infants and toddlers Provide ongoing assessment of children enrolled in program Development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), treatment plans, approaches, strategies Instruct/coach parents in implementation of developmentally appropriate language stimulation activities, emphasizing the importance of family involvement/follow through and outcomes/goals Provide and request consultation to team members which may include caregivers, day care providers, and/or educators Provide direct treatment to children with significant speech/language delays and or/ swallowing disorders in child\'s natural setting Participate, at minimum, staff meetings one time per month This position may request service coordination to an assigned caseload. Facilitate weekly parent and child groups. Requirements (a) Current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and a certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) granted by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, or (b) currently in clinical fellowship prior to being granted a CCC.
