Max\'s Trumbull Kitchen is a stylish and eclectic restaurant located in the heart of downtown Hartford, Connecticut. Under the umbrella of Max Hospitality, we\'ve been providing high-quality and innovative dining experiences since 2001. At Max\'s Trumbull Kitchen, we take pride in offering a diverse menu that combines flavors from different cultures around the world, especially the influence of Mexican cuisine and agave spirits. Our chefs use only the freshest ingredients to create inventive and unique dishes that emphasize intense flavors and satisfying textures, best enjoyed with one of the 100 tequilas and mezcals we offer at the restaurant. This candidate will be tasked with following established guidelines, procedures, and policies for food and beverage safety controls as prescribed by company standards. He or she will interact with guests and staff in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner. Restaurant Managers are responsible for handling guest issues, handling money, deposits and following cash out procedures. In addition, the manager will have authority to QSA items to ensure a world class dining experience. Ability to drive sales, understand Togo orders, third party delivery systems, Toast, and OpenTable are preferred. Mangers will train other staff, assist in interviewing and hiring staff as needed and be expected to be engaging with our guests while providing a great dining experience. Lead weekly manager meetings, assist the Managing Partner/GM with inventory, reporting and premeal daily meetings. The ideal candidate for this position has at least two years of experience in a restaurant setting. Wine and tequila knowledge is preferred. He or she has previous experience handling money and operating point-of-sales (POS) and credit/debit card processing systems and can work a 50 hour work week of five days on and 2 days off. Strong verbal and written communication skills, good time management, and professional behavior are all required for this position. The ideal candidate will become knowledgeable of all dishes and drinks, maintaining allergen concerns. Candidate will need to be ServSafe and Tips certified within 90 days of hire.
