Refugee Case Management Specialist (RMC) - Arabic To support families after their initial resettlement period to achieve personal self-sufficiency and mental/emotional wellness. The Specialist will provide strength-based interventions to promote personal health, well-being and to support positive resettlement and integration of refugees and immigrants. Refugee Case Management Specialist positions focus on either Women?s Empowerment and Family Self-Sufficiency, Individual Self-Sufficiency, or Housing Insecurity. This position will provide critical post-resettlement services for refugees in accordance with contract requirements and ensure compliance with all program guidelines. Position Details: Position: Refugee Case Management Specialist Department: Post-Resettlement Program Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Reports to: Director, Post- Resettlement Services Location: Springfield Salary: \$20-22/hourly SEE THE JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE WEBSITE FOR COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities: Assessment and intake Conduct assessment of client needs and eligibility for program services following program referral or closure in the Reception and Placement Program Prepare individualized service plan with enrolled clients with specific and attainable goals Communicate service plan and action steps to supervisor and obtain approval Review service plan with clients to encourage proactive engagement in services With client permission, coordinate with other internal and external providers on the creation of service plan and client goals Refugee Case Management Services Implement service plan, including enrollment in fuel assistance, maintaining and learning to be independent in navigation of Department of Transitional Assistance, finding a job in partnership with JFS Employment Services and other goals related to client self-sufficiency Assist clients with accessing other necessary services including those related to food security, housing, education, and government benefits and assist with interpretation as applicable Track client referrals internally and to other agencies to ensure services are accessed Maintain online records of services provided and regularly assess the case against identified benchmarks Assess client for unmet goals and potential eligibility for internal and external programs and document referral in online records at time of closure of client?s case in the Refugee Case Management Program. Perform all responsibilities within the framework of JFS?s mission and policies Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in social work, human services, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience working with refugee populations is highly desirable. Knowledge of local resources, services, and agencies in Western Massachusetts, specifically those serving refugee populations, is preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and establish positive working relationships with stakeholders and service providers. Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to providing client-centered services. Proficiency in using computer systems, databases, and software for data management and reporting. Training is available for qualified employees on relevant databases and systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Haitian Creole required. Candidates must have a valid driver?s license. Offer contingent on satisfactory driving history check.
