This critical role Performs various duties related to patient assistance, patient transportation and the cleaning of the operating rooms and general surgical area.

You Will Be Responsible For:
Assists the medical personnel of Workwise Occupational Health Services (WW OHS) in the treatment and evaluation of clients receiving illness and/or injury care, undergoing pre-placement evaluations, and fitness for duty exams of colleagues and client company colleagues.
Obtains and documents vital signs, height/weight, BMI calculation, and perform urine dip screen(s). Conducts basic visual screen using Snellen chart and/or Titmus machine to prepare client for exam by physician.
Performs daily calibration of blood finger stick machine, Breathalyzer, and E-Screen equipment.
Collects urine for drug screens; packages urine and completes paperwork according to government and lab specifications. Instructs patients in specimen collection process. Labels, dates, times, each specimen collected as per protocol. Ensures courier service is contacted daily regarding specimen pick-up.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree from Medical Assistant program.
Certification: CPR within 6 months of hire. Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Must obtain / maintain successful certification in DOT requirements for drug and alcohol testing within 6 months of hire.
Basic computer skills required.
Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Experience: One (1) year of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient setting preferred.
