Patient Access - Pre Service Representative (Insurance and Registration Specialist) Ensures necessary third party payor requirements and certifications are covered for financial reimbursements. Performs other clerical and record keeping tasks related to admission, registration or transfer of patients.

You Will Be Responsible For:
Excellent Communicator: Interviews all patientsby telephone to obtain demographic and financial information; enters all data intoEHR system.
Strong Educator: Explains hospital policies or regulations concerning valuables, patient’s rights, health care proxy, Notice to Medicare beneficiaries, and hospital mission.
Technical Familiarity: Coordinates schedules with internal andexternal providersfor diagnostic testing throughout different departmentsof the hospital. Ensures demographic, insurance and authorization information is accurate; responsible for upfront patients collections to includeco-pays, high deductibles, co-insurance and out-of-pocket responsibility.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, college preferred
Medical terminology skills.
Excellent customer service, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Relevant medical office, hospital / physicians billing or patient registration experience preferred.
