Human Resources Generalist Full Time Springfield, MA, US Requisition ID: 1892 Salary Range: \$50,000.00 To \$60,000.00 Annually Reports to: VP of Human Resources Schedule: Full-Time; Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm FLSA Status: Exempt Salary: \$50,000-\$60,000 annually DOE The YWCA of Western MA is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women. The YW provides a safe place for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Our programs and services include crisis shelter and transitional housing for survivors and their families, a 24-hour bilingual hotline, counseling, SAFEPLAN court advocacy, community education, and supervised visitation. The YWCA provides services at several sites, including Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield, and our primary Springfield campus. Position Purpose: The Human Resource Generalist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the YWCA\'s Human Resource Department. The HR Generalist?s role is that of a supportive role, answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees in regards to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, ADP, etc., referring more complex questions to the VP of Human Resources. Required Trainings: Successful completion of all required trainings within introductory period; Successful completion of required yearly trainings; and Continued Human Resources related trainings; Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 3 years of relevant professional experience, required; Experience with ADP payroll system preferred; Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills; Familiarity with employment law; Experience working in a union environment preferred: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations/information with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy; Ability to manage confidential information both written and verbal, as well as handling sensitive situations and documents; Demonstrated experience with human resources processes, projects, and activities such as recruitment, hiring, background and reference checks, payroll, and other related areas of human resources; A professional with fundamental knowledge in a broad array of topics related to employee benefits, compensation, hiring, onboarding and evaluations; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Access to reliable transportation and valid driver\'s license required; Must be able to be covered by the agency\'s insurance policy; and Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
