Sixteen Acres Health Care Housekeeper in Springfield, Massachusetts
Housekeeper (Minimal Experience Necessary) Full time position \$15.50/hr. Springfield Area General Description: The Housekeeper/Aide provides cleaning services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and home like environment for residents, staff and the public Housekeeping services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents. Work Experience Requirements: - Prior experience in a nursing home environment with general housekeeping, floor care, heavy environmental cleaning. - Freedom from illegal use of drugs - Freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace, and during work hours. - Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating Individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position. - Utilizes effective time management. Education and/or Experience: - Prior housekeeping experience in a Long Term Care or Hospitality setting preferred. - Language Skills: Ability to communicate and read in English. - High School graduate or GED Reasoning Ability: Must demonstrate reasoning skills to problem solve issues for customer satisfaction and report issues forward timely for fast resolution. Minimum Job Skills Requirements: - Carries out all duties in accordance with the facility mission, vision and philosophy for a home like environment for our residents. -Demonstrates knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions. - Appreciates the importance of maintaining confidentiality, of resident and facility information.
