Viability Clubhouse Specialist 1 in Springfield, Massachusetts

**$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successfully completion of first 90 days)**

Position: Clubhouse Specialist 1 – Full Time

Location: Springfield MA

Rate of Pay: $19.55 per hour

Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

Summary:

  • Work with adults with mental illness in accomplishing work of the unit, assisting in building their skills, including vocational and social, while assuming responsibility for completion of documentation according to agency policy, procedures, and standards. The Clubhouse Specialist develops and services employment relationships between clients and community employers, providing access to an array of employment, job training, and educational opportunities. Responsibilities include vocational guidance, job development, job placement, employer education, and customer relations. Additional responsibilities include marketing Clubhouse services to the community and supporting individuals with basic needs such as SSI redetermination, Medicare, and MassHealth.

Qualifications:

  • High School/GED plus 2 years of relevant experience

  • Must have at least 1 year of previous experience working with individuals with mental health.

  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and a reliable vehicle

Requirements:

  • Strong time management skills required.

  • Must be able to build community connections and market Clubhouse services effectively.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data entry to include Excel, Word, databases, and email required.

  • Must have the ability to work independently and as an effective team member.

  • Ability to work weekends or evenings as needed required.

  • Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers', and community organizations.
