Behavior Analyst - Thrive Wrap Around Location - 417 Liberty Street, Springfield, MA, 01104, United States Employee Type - Full-Time Required Degree - Masters Minimum Experience - 3 Years Description GENERAL SUMMARY The Behavior Analyst for Thrive Intensive Community Wrap Around Supports Program provides high-quality services to individuals served by BHN. These services are provided as one component in a team-based approach and are based on techniques of PBS/Applied Behavior Analysis and are provided in the home and in community settings. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Provides clinical services to individuals with ASD within the Intensive Community Wrap-Around Supports Program Conducts all facets of a Functional Behavior Assessment according to best practice guidelines (i.e., structured interviews, direct observations data recording, data review and interpretation, etc.) with referred individual, family, and collateral providers culminating in a written functional behavioral assessment. Develops a specific focused Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) designed to diminish, improve, or establish specifically identified behaviors. Designs data collection tools for behavior measurement and reporting. Makes necessary revisions/adjustments/updates to the plan based on data analysis. Contributes to the overall success of referred individuals by providing recommendations and collaborating with other Thrive team members. Provides services in individuals\' homes, health care clinics, schools, and other community settings as needed. Models for the individual, parent, caregiver, staff, and other providers how to implement identified strategies from the BIP. Works closely with other staff to ensure the BIP is implemented as developed. Provides individual served updates as required by funding source. Completes written documentation that is legible and addresses relevant clinical issues. Completes treatment plans that are consistent with best practices. Provide necessary training for the clinical treatment team including autism spectrum disorder, ABA/PBS, significant mental illness, and evidence-based practices Participates in daily communication with other Thrive team members to collaborate, plan, and take action. Attends regional and Statewide meetings to report program progress and contribute to the Statewide planning of service components. PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Master\'s Degree in a mental health field and three (3) years of clinical experience in the treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities and significant mental illness required. At least three years\' experience with individuals with ASD. Experience in applied behavior analysis: a) conducting functional behavioral assessments (FBA); b) selecting interventions and strategies based on the results of the FBA; AND c) working with parents/caregivers and paraprofessional staff in homes and other community-based settings to implement behavior plans using techniques grounded in principles of positive behavior support (PBS) and/or applied behavioral analysis (ABA). BCBA Licensure or License eligible within one year preferred. Direct experience implementing evidence-based practices required. Valid driver\'s license, acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle for all working hours required.
