SPRINGFIELD PART TIME/ON CALL Banquet Server The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International. THE JOB: As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for setting the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us. THE DAY-TO-DAY: Guide guest in all phases of their experience at the Banquet event Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas Knowledgeable of service requirements for assigned function such as: pre-function side work, detailed menu selections, major ingredients, appearance, texture, quality standards, garnish and method of presentation, proper food and beverage service Greet guest as they arrive and assist them with seating at tables Set up, monitor, refresh and breakdown coffee break, reception and buffet tables for specified functions according to group requirements Follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by the Banquet Management Team Anticipate the guest needs and respond promptly THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Takes pride in their work Describes themselves as detail-oriented Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression Can handle multiple tasks at one time Excellent guest service and hospitality skills Able to function and act independently Able to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written & verbal Able to function in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more.
