Design and implement Voice of the Customer (VOC) data gathering (via phone, internet, mail surveys, in-person interviews) and analysis to support definition of new product specifications and relevant in-depth customer understanding
Link prioritized customer needs in price and/or performance of assigned product lines to key customer needs/wants and feeds the business unit roadmap with these inputs
Build business case for new products and product improvements with focus on key drivers
Conduct basic competitive and market research and analysis
Analyze product lines including sales, profitability, volume, inventory, and F/X.
Perform market modeling such as number of facilities, price, and units per year to determine estimated market opportunity
Provides training to the sales channel and internal customers to drive increased technical competency, application experience, value to the customer, etc.
Develops and provides technical and commercial presentations to customers
Writes and delivers technical papers for assigned products
Participates in key trade associations and technical committees
Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelors degree in technical or business field
Experience: 3+ years of marketing or product management support experience.
Strong project management experience
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of product financial analysis, including product pricing, product costing, gross margin, inventory value, and inventory turns
Proven project management competencies
Able to empathize with customers, translating needs into products
Knowledge of financial valuation techniques, including, NPV, ROI, and payback
Basic understanding of classical marketing including 4Ps, marketing mix, product WOWs, demand creation
Understanding of customer segments and product applications of product portfolios and trends
Understanding of the product line sales channels and identification of opportunities to grow sales
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
The salary range for this role is 75K - 95K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
