We are searching for a Pop-Up Manager to help operate CultureHouse East Somerville, a one-month pop-up community space. Start date: April 24th, 2023 End date: June 9th, 2023 Location: Somerville, Massachusetts (in-person) Time: 40 hours/week, Wednesday-Sunday, 12:30 pm-8:30 pm during operation (hours may differ for first and last week) Salary: \$800/week, paid twice a month Responsibilities: Opening and closing the pop-up space Working with the Design Manager to build out the space before the opening date and help with deinstall after the closing date Conducting outreach to notify the East Somerville community about the project, including in-person canvassing, engagement, and weekly newsletters Managing the pop-up Training and scheduling volunteers and interns Greeting visitors, answering questions, and maintaining a clean and comfortable space Creating and posting content for social media and newsletters Collecting data on the use of the space Managing and coordinating setup for programming Working collaboratively with the rest of the CultureHouse team on other tasks Required Skills: Must be legally authorized to work in the US Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Self-starter, entrepreneurial, flexible, and well organized A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a collaborative working style Commitment to social justice Experience working with diverse communities Experience in customer-facing environments Preference for residents of East Somerville
