Robert Half HR & PR Coordinator in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts

Description

We are looking for a competent HR Administrator to join our client's team in the greater Shrewsbury, Massachusetts area. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the operational aspects of our organization's payroll and will provide support to the human resources department in various administrative tasks. This includes processing employee paychecks, managing timesheets, and ensuring accurate employee data, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions. Although the role MAY seem more Payroll than anything, the role is HR driven with a growth deep into the HR department.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain accurate payroll records for multiple companies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

• Calculate and process employee paychecks, ensuring accurate deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings.

• Maintain and update employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, and employment status or compensation changes.

• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries as required.

• Collaborate with the finance department to ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of payroll transactions.

• Assist with making the payroll system as efficient and automated as possible.

• Work with project managers to meet general contractors' and state prevailing wage standards.

• Enter timesheet and job information into the payroll system weekly to ensure accurate payroll and billing.

• Receive expense reports and process reimbursements appropriately.

• Resolve any error reports related to retirement plan contributions and deductions.

• Collaborate with the retirement plan provider to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee contributions.

• Stay up-to-date with changes in labor laws, regulations, and best practices related to payroll and human resources.

• Assist with annual ACA requirements.

• Maintain accurate and organized records for human resources documentation.

• Assist in apprenticeship programs and licensing.

• Receive and process paid time off requests.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist

• Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and Paycom

• Experienced in handling Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Knowledgeable in the field of Compliance and Employee Relations

• Ability to oversee HR Compliance and manage HR Department effectively

• Experience in using HR Payroll System and implementing HR Policy

• Familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll and Payroll software

• Experience in HRIS Implementation and System Conversion - Implementation

• Ability to manage Weekly Payroll, Benefits Payroll, and Multistate Payroll

• Skilled in handling Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees

• Familiarity with Payroll - Garnishments, Payroll - Union, and Payroll Taxes

• Ability to Process Payroll, Reconcile Payroll, and manage Tax - Payroll

• Experience in handling Year-end Payroll
