How you make a difference

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing assistance to physical therapists in treatingpatients who are recovering from injuries or illnesses. The PTA will help patients regain their mobility,manage their pain, and improve their physical function. They will work under the supervision of a licensedphysical therapist and will provide hands-on treatment to patients as directed by the therapist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapist in creating and implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries and illnesses.

  • Observe and report patient status to physical therapist, and help patients perform exercises and use devices/equipment.

  • Treat patients using various techniques, educate patients and family members about post-treatment care.

  • Apply critical thinking skills and sound judgment in practical and emergent situations, and maintainsecurity clearance as required.

  • Maintain attention to detail, work under stress on a regular basis, and perform other duties asassigned.

Qualifications & Requirements


  • Must have associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.


  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred.


  • Physical Therapist Assistant license required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
