About this role
Responsible for receiving, reviewing, tracking and reporting on all referrals for assessment and treatment for all institutions assigned. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of all physical therapy associated documents, communications, and reports. Responsible for providing oversight and supervision of the Physical Therapy Team and performance management.Plans and administers medically prescribed or referred physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of body part. Documents patient care, educates and informs patient and referring provider on outlined plan of care.
What you bring to the table
Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
Master’s degree required.
- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state of employment
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
What you will do
Direct and supervise all physical therapy treatment planning for patients
Responsible to provide oversight and clinical supervision of the Physical Therapy Team, inclusive of all Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants.
Engages in ongoing performance evaluation of PT staff direct reports
Provides direct supervision and directs service delivery by serving as a resource and consultant to PT Staff and assisting with difficult decisions and operational issues
Motivates staff; guides problem identification and solving, facilitates constructive resolution of conflict
Keeps track of physical therapy patients by institution
Provides comprehensive reporting on physical therapy activity across all facilities.Develops and manages quality improvement activities for Physical Therapy Program.
Develops and manages quality improvement activities for Physical Therapy Program.
Develops and implements a rehabilitation program consistent with the physician’s plan of treatment for patients.
Confers with physician and clinical team members to obtain additional patient information and assist in developing, implementing and revising the therapy treatment program and plan of treatment.
Instructs, motivates and assists patients in non-manual exercises.
Administers manual therapeutic exercise.
Maintains daily progress notes, correspondence with provider and company documentation procedures.
Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the physical, psychosocial, safety and related criteria appropriate to the patients served.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Ability to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
Ability to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
Ability to remain alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
Ability to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
