The Salvation Army Summer Music Intern in Sharon, Massachusetts

Qualifications
High School Diploma
Proficiency in performing and teaching a music discipline
Must have valid driver’s license
Have experience supervising and/or teaching children
Location: Camp Wonderland, Sharon, MA
Dates of Employment: June 20 through July 20, 2024
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Hours: 8 hours per day
June 20-June 23, 2024
Work with the Divisional Music Director to prepare all aspects of Music Conservatory
Participate in orientation sessions and necessary certifications
Plan for teaching of major classes, theory/technique, and elective classes as assigned
Assist in planning fun events and activities for Music Conservatory
Assist in planning devotional sessions
Assist Music Director in any task as assigned
June 26- July 7, 2024; July 10-15, 2024; July 18-20, 2024
Teach and/or assist classes as assigned by the Music Director
Serve as a counselor for Music Conservatory students
Assist in music program check-in procedures as assigned
Help clean, serve lunch/snacks, or any logistical task as needed
Be willing and approved to serve as a chaperone on any off-campus trips
Work with the Music Director to prepare and implement finale performances
Help prepare all awards and certificates for students
Assist with exit procedure for campers
Assist the Music Director in the clean-up, filing, and closing of summer music programs
