Robert Half Accounting Coordinator in Sharon, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join our team, based in Sharon, Massachusetts. As part of our team, you will be playing a key role in supporting our project teams and accounting department by managing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to Project Managers and APMS on various stages of construction projects

• Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to collect and file lien waivers as required

• Ensure timely billing from Subcontractors each month

• Review subcontractor invoices for Notarization, Signature, Retainage, Math, Conditional Release, and any special job requirements

• Assess subcontractor compliance before releasing payment

• Update contacts for Subcontractors, Owners and other contacts in Procore

• Work closely with field staff and project team to guarantee successful project site operations

• Identify potential issues and communicate them promptly to the project team

• Collect, code and enter credit card receipts promptly

• Process monthly credit card statements in Sage

• Understand the types of requisitions and provide assistance to subcontractors to fill out billing forms

• Review and respond to inquiries received through mail and the accounting email promptly

• Assist the Senior Accountant with coding of Subcontractor and Material Invoices in Timberscan

• Maintain accurate and easily accessible files

• Assist with Credit Applications and weekly check run Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Experience in account reconciliation and data entry is vital

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Knowledge in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP for financial management

• Demonstrated experience in processing invoices

• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations

• Strong understanding of billing processes and principles

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative to improve processes

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
