YMCA Cape Cod Camp Nurse in Sandwich, Massachusetts

Under the general direction of the Camp Director, the Camp Nurse oversees the health & health forms for seasonal campers. Essential Functions: Appropriately treat injuries & illnesses as appropriately to staff & campers. Administer medication as necessary. Reviews & maintains all medical records for campers. Notifies the Camp Director in writing of any special circumstances or conditions of campers. Leads or assists in any training that may be pertinent to a child\'s special medical condition. Maintains a clean & safe environment, ensuring area is free of clutter, debris & hazardous conditions. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations & procedures, including emergency & safety procedures. Completes reports as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in related field or equivalent. Minimum age of 21 & (1) Have successfully completed a course in camping administration such as those offered by national professional camping associations, national agencies or their equivalent, or (2) Have a least two seasons previous experience as part of the administrative staff of a recreational camp for children. Certifications: CPR, Basic First Aid & AED. Previous supervisory experience, including staff scheduling & training preferred. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social & economic segments of the community. Excellent human relation skills, good organizational & communication skills. Physical Demands: Sufficient strength, agility & mobility to perform essential functions of position
