OVERVIEW: Donation Taker: Ideal candidates will perform donation taking, processing and storage duties; material handling and facility maintenance duties. DUTIES: Setting up/breaking down donation table/area Greeting customers when they pull into the parking lot to drop off donations at the donation table Assisting customers with removing/carrying donations from vehicle to the donation table Determining whether a donation is resellable and meets Leeward donation criteria Politely say no to donations that that don?t meet Leeward donation criteria Always be courteous and polite with customers Cleaning and pricing donated furniture Assisting customers with transporting furniture purchases from the store to vehicles Cleaning, sweeping and emptying barrels Assisting with miscellaneous requests from the Store Manager Unloading, moving, storing and displaying furniture Moving priced bins into store for employees/volunteers to display REQUIREMENTS: Ability to frequently lift and move items typically weighing 50 lbs. or more Energetic and able to work at a consistent pace Excellent organization and time management skills Ability to report to work on time and as scheduled Ability to listen and follow directions Positive attitude and willingness to help customers and co-workers Demonstrate teamwork, compassion and respect Outgoing and patient personality Solid work ethic Effectively communicate our charitable mission, objectives and activities This is a partial job description.
