Green Seal Environmental Accounting Assistant F/T or P/T in Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts

Green Seal Environmental, LLC is a small civil and environmental engineering consulting firm poised for considerable growth over the next year. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant to perform a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to support our business. We are a fun team of scientists, engineers and surveyors who are extremely passionate about the work we do and the clients we serve. Work schedules here are extremely flexible and for the right candidate, GSE would entertain part-time or full-time employment. Duties of the Accounting Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs, and managing our company?s general accounting activities. Accounting Assistant responsibilities include entering vendor bills and creating invoices utilizing QuickBooks and BillQuick software. Preparing multiple reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. If you have previous experience as an Accounting Assistant or administrative assistant and familiarity within our industry, we?d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office. Responsibilities Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Submit and reconcile expense reports Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports Develop and maintain a filing system Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers Assist Project Managers with project administration Act as the point of contact for vendors and clients Other Administrative duties as required Skills Proven experience as an accounting assistant or office admin assistant Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Knowledge of office management systems and procedures QuickBooks experience - l year preferred. Bill Quick experience a plus. Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines Proficiency in MS Office Suite Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task High School degree; additional qualification as an Accounting or Administrative Assistant COVID-19 considerations: We follow all required Massachusetts COVID-19 procedures.
