Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Software Developer based in Roxbury, Massachusetts. The role involves working on the design, development, and maintenance of robust, secure, and scalable applications, particularly within the Laravel PHP framework. The successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of the development lifecycle, from initial concept creation to development, testing, and deployment, and will work collaboratively with team members to ensure product cohesion and meet project milestones.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of robust, secure, and scalable applications using Laravel PHP framework.

• Engage in all facets of the development lifecycle, including initial concept creation, development, testing, and deployment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, maintain core product software, and contribute to optimizations and functionality enhancements.

• Maintain knowledge of current best practices in web development and explore innovative technologies that will improve web application performance and user experience.

• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure product cohesion and meet project milestones.

• Address and resolve issues with existing codebases responsively and proactively.

• Contribute to team discussions, offering insightful input, and share technical knowledge to facilitate continuous improvement and learning.

• Integrate RESTful APIs in the application, ensuring seamless and efficient data interchange.

• Convert feature specs and designs into computer code, testing to ensure that it produces the expected results.

• Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical software applications. Requirements • Proficiency in full stack frameworks is required

• Experience in backend development is essential

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a software developer

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred

• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Proficient in version control tools such as Git

• Familiarity with software design principles and architecture

• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms

• Experience in developing and maintaining software documentation

• Ability to troubleshoot and debug application issues
