North River Collaborative Van Monitor in Rockland, Massachusetts

Hours per week: 25-35 Pay 15.85 - 17.88 SIGN ON BONUS * ASK ABOUT REQUIREMENTS IV. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent 2. Ability to work with students with special needs 3. Experience transporting special needs students preferred V. LENGTH OF POSITION: School Year Calendar/Summer as needed VI. REPORTS TO: Transportation Director and/or his or her designee VII. EVALUATION: Staff Evaluation will be implemented as outlined in the North River Collaborative Personnel Policies & Procedures Handbook. VIII. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: A. DUTIES 1. Ensure that all students are seated with seatbelts secured before moving vehicle. 2. Enforce rules governing student conduct on the vehicle and report any concerns to the Transportation Director and/or his or her designee 3. Assist at identified locations ensuring that students are properly supervised by parents and/or school staff. 4. Assist driver when requested in the supervision of students and their safety needs. 5. Assist students getting on/off the vehicle. 6. Provide assistance for substitute drivers regarding routes and students needs. 7. Interact effectively with school staff, parents and students. 8. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the van at all times. 9. Review and abide by NRC Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook section regarding Use of Vehicles and NRC Transportation Manual. 10. Use the NRC vehicle only for official business. 11. Attend and participate in in-service training programs and staff development meetings as appropriate (minimum of 8 hours required). 11. Assist when needed, Transportation Director and/or his or her designee in maintaining student attendance records and other data as needed. 12. Report concerns of safety or students needs to the Transportation Director and/or his or her designee B. HEALTH AND SAFETY: 1. Is able to physically lift and assist students during any emergency situations. 2. Monitor must sit beside assigned student that has to be monitored unless directed otherwise by Transportation Director and/or his or her designee 3. Able to physically tolerate all road conditions and length of routes. C. ETHICAL: 1. Maintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students. 2. Maintain professional attitudes and productive relationship with other staff and administration. 3. Treat parents and other professionals with respect. Full time Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Director and/or his or her designee.
