Overview of Role

ZwitterCo is seeking a Technical Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing Commercial Engineering team. This role will be a key contributor in ensuring the successful, high-impact application of ZwitterCo's cutting-edge membranes across industries and regions.

The candidate will play both an internal- and external-facing role and serve as a purchasing coordinator for the entire technical organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in a prior technical, logistics, and/or purchasing role.

Key to this role is the ability to work across functions and cultures in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Role responsibilities include reviewing purchase order requests, vendor/subcontractor quotes and invoices for errors or omissions; managing ZwitterCo standard terms and conditions per leadership guidance; and issuing POs for the technical organization on appropriate timelines to manage lead time and accuracy.

ZwitterCo has developed a breakthrough in materials science, a new class of zwitterionic membranes that are immune to fouling, making it practical and affordable to treat unconventional water and wastewater. Responsibilities include:

  • Point of contact between all subcontractors and vendors relevant to water and wastewater systems.

  • Reviewing purchase order requests, vendor/subcontractor quotes and invoices for errors or omissions.

  • Managing ZwitterCo standard terms and conditions per leadership guidance.

  • Flagging discrepancies between vendor/subcontractor quotes/invoices versus ZwitterCo issued PO.

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

  • Negotiating preferred pricing with vendors and subcontractors with scale.

  • Issuing POs for the technical organization on appropriate timelines to manage lead time and accuracy.

  • Managing open orders and communicating lead time changes to appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical, logistics, and/or purchasing experience is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and NetSuite is required.

  • The ability to read and understand technical specifications, purchase orders, invoices, and terms and conditions is required.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Schedule, Travel, Compensation, and Location

This full-time position will be located in Woburn, MA. Exceptional candidates who can work remotely or in a hybrid role are welcome to apply.

No significant travel is expected for this role, however, certain trips to vendors or subcontractors may be required on occasion. (Travel <5%).

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include equity and benefits.
