Sr. Brand & Solutions Marketing Manager

The Sr Brand and Solutions Marketing Manager for Allegion Home is responsible for leading the overall development, management, and execution of brand and solutions strategies for the Allegion Home business unit. A successful Sr Brand and Solutions Marketing Manager is proficient translating market and consumer research into brand strategy, architecture, messaging and content, as well as driving brand experience guidance into holistic touchpoint and journey planning. This role is proficient in leading a team to understand and action customer/audience needs and drivers, developing go to market plans to drive consumer adoption across multiple channels, and developing and managing compelling value proposition stories and content for large portfolios of brands and products. The position reports to the Marketing Leader – Allegion Home, and will closely collaborate with peers within the assigned strategic business unit (SBU) and cross-functional global teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead overarching Allegion Home market and consumer research strategy and touchpoints, while identifying and coordinating specific research needs for assigned areas/programs.

  • Lead overarching Schlage residential brand positioning and experience strategy development and evolution, and other supporting residential brands as assigned.

  • Lead workstream to manage the cross functional collaborative process to communicate and distribute relevant and engaging value proposition content to internal stakeholders for Allegion Home owned touchpoints (i.e., sales collateral) and channel partner touch points (i.e. retail merchandising, ecom detail pages and brand pages, literature, training assets).

  • Lead workstream to steward commercialization process, which includes go to market planning and on-going market activation, within the overarching Allegion Product Development Process for assigned programs.

  • Drive the development and execution of the strategic marketing plans for assigned Allegion Home brands, categories, strategic initiatives, or new introduction projects.

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams such as Demand Generation, Creative Services, Product Management, Retail/eCommerce Channel Marketing, Trade Pro Channel Marketing, Digital Marketing, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to successfully drive assigned projects and programs to launch and market adoption.

  • Leverage strong knowledge of market and customer needs to create and implement both new and sustaining compelling value proposition stories and content for assigned areas.

  • Key interface with external agencies (as applicable)

What You Need to Succeed:

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Product Management or associated discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience in brand or product management, or product marketing.

  • 3+ years of B2C Marketing in Retail (Omni Channel) class of trade.

  • Strong Retail marketing competencies, including a strategic business orientation and market analysis.

  • Proven business strategy support skills and track record of supporting profitable growth.

  • Demonstrated experience in areas of strategic planning, marketing, market research, brand positioning or management, brand preference research, promotions/advertising and execution of campaigns.

  • Proven track record translating market and customer research to business strategy.

  • Demonstrated expertise in value proposition creation, preferably in a multi-brand architecture, and evaluation for specific consumer segments.

  • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions (Product Management, Sales, Channel Marketing, Program Management, Finance, etc.).

  • Experience with both product launch (new introduction) and lifecycle management (sustaining/repositioning)

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks at once with great efficiency.

  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

  • Position will be remote or hybrid, but candidate must live in Eastern or Central time zones

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Knowledge of and experience in agency management.

  • Experience with managing or owning a budget (sustaining or project)

  • Experience with a consumer-packaged goods brand in a hard goods (i.e. physical product) category

  • Experience with a multi-brand structure supporting good/better/best portfolio positioning

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field, MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of marketing or brand management experience

  • Knowledge of and experience in agency management.

  • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions (product leaders, sales, channel & vertical marketing, etc.).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage creative output with both strategy (fits with brand expression and objectives) and executional detail (costs, timing, consequences, overruns, capability assessments).

  • Ability to express complex topics in a simple, straightforward manner.

  • Experience managing budget reviews to manage monthly costs and year-to-date finances.

  • 5+ years in a leadership role

  • Experience in multi-channel, multi-vertical companies, building products
