Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing profitable sales in the OEM Semiconductor segment for Bosch Rexroth in the US and with expansion globally within the first year, primarily within Factory Automation. The Business Development Manager will also look to identify and communicate opportunities to grow sales for all business units within Bosch Rexroth Corporation. This includes:

  • Acting as business driver (industry expert) for a key industry for current and future profitable sales growth by identifying and executing our market growth strategy

  • Providing current and forecasted market intelligence data for product rollouts, impacts of mergers and acquisitions, changes within management at customers and competitors and the like

  • Pursuing new projects by working with sales on identifying new opportunities, defining a targeted value proposition, including training of the regional sales organization and distributors on market needs.

  • Within all Factory Automation business areas (Automation and Electrification, Assembly Technology and Linear Technology) promote Bosch Rexroth products, solutions and service and likewise for all other Bosch Rexroth business areas including Industrial, Mobile and Compact Hydraulics, Mobile Electronics and Large Hydraulic Drives.

  • Drive value proposition together with Marketing to promote Bosch Rexroth technology to the Semiconductor market through trade shows, industry presentation, speaking engagements, case history and success stories.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and sales management of automation products

  • 5+ years of Semiconductor industry expertise, specifically working with FABs.

  • Prior experience working with a team and utilizing indirect authority to accomplish project milestones and meet customer demands

  • Experience in public speaking and advanced presentation skills

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Rexroth Factory Automation product lines is a plus

  • Solid understanding of electromechanical principles and automation machinery operation

  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, self-motivated

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and a level of tact and diplomacy necessary to communicate effectively in difficult situations
